I recently wrote about my adventure to the Goodwill outlet to find items for the house. Well, I found this little wheeling cart for one dollar and knew it would be perfect in the corner of my room for my tv!
It was linoleum, (yuck), and the top had been all warped.
I sanded down the top as best I could, but wasn't too worried about it because what I wanted to do would cover up the bumps!
The rest of the cart was in great condition.
I started with a fresh coat of black paint, I covered every inch so it felt new and clean!
Then I cut up a bunch of pictures from an old magazine I got for free at a flea market from the 50s.
I used adhesive, but you could use modpodge, and stuck all the images to the top making sure to smooth out any air bubbles.
Then go over the top with a couple coats of glossy sealer.
Ta-da! A totally adorable cart for less than 5 dollars including supplies.
Looking pretty cute in the corner of my room. I might not even want to put my tv on it!
That is SOOOOOOOOOOOO awesome! You did a great job!
