Secondhand Swap: Houndstooth Pencil Skirt

So, I've arranged a swap with a bunch of other fantastic bloggers and the first few thrifted garments got mailed today! I found everything at either salvation army or goodwill and what we want to accomplish by doing this swap is showing how versatile a thrift store piece can be! It's important in this day and age to buy secondhand and I couldn't think of a more fun way to express that!

The first garment is this houndstooth pencil skirt. It was 50 cents because I went on sale night, and whether houndstooth is your thing or not, thrift stores have an endless supply of pencil skirts just like this one, and are often one of the cheapest garments in the store.

Sweater: Vintage
Blouse: Paul and Joe
Shoes: Steve Madden
Necklace: Barn sale

This skirt is off to travel the globe, so we can see how everyone else styles a basic pencil skirt.

The other bloggers participating. Check them out and get ready to see some amazing outfits!

  3. Oh, this chic and classic outfit is great! Your cardigan is so similar to a vintage one that I have, but yours has cuter buttons, haha. I'm looking forward to seeing how the other bloggers style the skirt!
