For two days everything had a layer of snow on it. It was absolutely gorgeous out so my roommate and I drove to lake michigan because she'd never seen it in winter. We went to the lake, we went in the woods, and we stopped on a nice looking road because I yelled out how pretty it was and that we had to stop.
Now here are all the photos-
Sweater: Vintage
Jeans: Levis
Boots: DSW
Ring: JGood
Two things.
First - That ring? I am mildly obsessed with it. I bought it from JGood which is an online jewelry store that is just starting out. I was not asked or compensation to post about this ring, I just love it so much that I wanted to. So far I haven't taken it off since I got it, and hurray it hasn't turned my finger green or worn down to some cheap copper base like most rings that are available these days. So support this new site if you are able! I intend to.
Second - The reason we wanted to go to lake michigan was so my roommate could enter a contest that I was just informed about. One of my affiliates Anastasia of Beverly Hills is having a contest to fly one winner out to L.A to get a little make over. The contest is called Wish you were here (Click that to read the official rules) and all you have to do is take a postcard picture of yourself by a local landmark and e-mail it to them. I enter contests all the time, and I am always running around telling my friends to enter certain ones haha. Anyway, worth a shot!
If you guys got through all of that you're a champ.

What gorgeous photos! Lake Michigan in the winter is so beautiful. I went last year, and I'm actually planning on posting those photos soon. Which beach did you go to?
ReplyDeleteIt's just a tiny little public access beach at the end of 45. The closest place i know of!

Good for you for entering contests. I rarely enter because I always assume I won't win (self-fulfilling prophesy, I guess). Anyway, I love how magical you make this snowy landscape look with that beautiful sweater.

These photos are incredibly beautiful...enchanting, actually. I've never seen a snowy scene like this in person, so I can just imagine how amazing it must have looked in real life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning the Wish You Were Here contest, Lily! We also created a contest page on Facebook so folks can easily share it. http://www.facebook.com/events/217952178295224/ Good luck!!
